What type of FireWire / Per-amplifier should I buy for my home studio?
Hello, I produce my own music on my computer at home. I am currently using Windows Vista and have-Fi Xtreme Gamer Sound Card. X I need a preamp and FireWire system (preferably external) host: condenser microphone with 3-pin XLR (phantom powered) speakers Rokit with 1 / 4 "input, optional input for my 1 / 4" guitar pickups, I really do not know where to start looking. My budget is between $ 100 – $ 1000 + tips or advice would be great. Thank you for reading!
In my experience, the card game its just not good for the studios of computer music (if the specifications of the box Sound Blaster, you might think differently). Personally, I like M-Audio. I have an old M-Audio FireWire Solo, I for some years I have had today and it worked perfectly for me right now. Now keep in mind that I can record with microphone and guitar, to plan the record group or more than one person, then you may want to buy something with more inputs. But only for FireWire Solo is a person nice, XLR input with phantom power and 1 / 4 "jack for guitar input cable as well:).
