Direct Drive
What is the difference between direct drive and automatic tray?

"Direct Drive" is the drive to the motor shaft is mounted and there are no drive belts. In the lower price ranges, Direct-Drive usually better speed stability. Even if a belt Training Table outperform high-end direct drive speed and stability and less "rumble" (the sound of the deck to walk). Direct-Drive DJ preferential use of higher torque and faster boot times and not have to wear a belt of concern in burning or slipping while the tray is handled by the DJ. "Automatic" is the hub is started and drop the needle at the beginning a recording by pressing a button. Then there's his arm around the back and stop the platform at the end of the recording. "Semi-automatic" means that the needle at the beginning of a file manually and it is high, and automatically return the rest to the end. A "manual" hub requires the tone arm can be lowered manually to play a disc and manually removed at the end. As far as I know, there is no training table IDD market today. Direct drives are the preferred choice DJ tables, where opertaion fully manual. Although some these tables can cost neutral "budget audiophile" all belts. Automatic direct readers can still be found on the second hand market.
