Surface Mount
Is there such thing as a Surface Mount Organizer?
I’m building some circuits with a lot of surface mount components on it. The problem is I’m wasting a lot of time pulling out each individual part, taking the number I need out of the little plastic strips, and placing them on the board. So is there a type of organizer I can use that will make life easier when I have 20 different surface mount components? I have equipment that sucks the components up with a sucker so picking them up isn’t an issue, its pulling them all out individually out of the plastic package so I don’t get them mixed up thats the problem. Any help would be a big help 
Let me tell you what I do.
I went to Walmart and purchased some little plastic bead containers that have a lid with a nice little door. You get about 24 in a clear plastic box.
I put each value in these and label the box accordingly. Then I bought another larger plastic box from Walmart and and organized the resistors in one and capacitors in another. Actually, it takes two of each of the large boxes to hold all the capacitor and resistor values, as I use a lot.
Then, when working, I shake out a few on the table to insert onto the board with tweezers. If I only need one, then I just tweeze it out.
