Studio Tube

Studio Tube
I want to start a recording studio in my brick run. What do I need?

Ive this before, but not many responces. It is mainly Just for fun, recording with my band and maybe make a little pocket money. I know ill probably end not so much money, but id like to try. Things have been recommended to buy IVE Microphone Shure SM57 Microphone Cable: at least 10 meters Microphone Stand: Heavy boom duty Preamp: Behringer MIC200 Tube Ultragin Mixer: Behringer Mixers XENYX 802 or 1024 software Mixer: Cubase 4 Pop Filter Studio Headphones Behringer HPS 3000 acoustic foam the soundproof room is there anything else I need or recommend different types of equipment. I have a fast computer, if not not a problem. In addition, guidance is cool!

As already over, it really depends how far you want to enjoy this. A sound card is probably the first line of the company. Again depending on how much you want to save on how many channels you need. Basically, one channel for each microphone and instrument. I use a Mackie 20 channel and it is almost required that I have never been more on board is sound effects, the pleasure of working with (reverb, phaser, etc.) play. (4 votes, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, saxophone, sound effects, loops (IPod) and 6 channels of drums (Graves kick, snare,, ground bass, the symbols R & L – rough all require more microphones and more. Stalls) Microphones: SM57 is a good microphone for instruments, but the voice recording you want to use the SM58 has sound. rich guitars: 2 channels, you can do here. The idea is the tone in the sound card, so you can level all of your instruments on the recording to take control. With a guitar amp is a good way. A good tube amp (I'll stick to a tube amp – loud noise in some of the highest quality amps) will be very expensive (you also want to ensure that the amp has a line-out jack so you can plug into the sound card, if not then you have the amplifier and the microphone can be difficult to penetrate with feedback and noise from other instruments. An easy and you can go is with a direct box input (DI-Box) to start. For this you need a cable box 1 / 4 instrument "and an XLR cable (mic cable) keyboards. You need boxes live on board, connect the sound of all these require a cable XLR and 1 / 4 instrument cable. "Drums Drum Mic-Ing may mics little difficult. You need at least three. you definitely want to kick the mic and put the other 2 sides left and right. (Somewhere in the middle of the sound – you can use symbols, tombs, snare, etc. every time you start page). The best way to mic a drum set and microphone clips drum. This will allow you of each grave and the symbol, the maximum control over what the final product that you like the recording, microphone, microphones but several more cable, more channels on the card. In addition, the drums are one of the greatest challenges in terms of volume and bleed through into your microphone as the voice. You want get a way to stop or isolate. Plexiglass drum shields work ok, but much better when you wrap the battery completely and the sound of your drum mics. I guess you're the computer for recording, so that your primary output of your sound card will use the computer. If your musicians hear one another, you must have some type of surveillance system. (Which requires more wiring.) Integration I would recommend a monitor to the ear (headphones) instead of a traditional corner (basically, a spokesman said the word on the musicians.) Given the level of sound, can build very quickly to feedback problems in a small recording chamber. The name of the game here is to keep the volume whenever possible. Plus the more difficult it is to control the volume of purging microphone, the sound echoes and through. Also, do you do anything to control echo in the room. Brick is a very hard surface, the jump is, as someone said earlier in this paper foam is a good way to mitigate this decline. I would say thick heavy curtains every wall. You have questions along the way, feel free to hit me on my e-mail, but I recommend always good friends with your local music store. (Not like Circuit City or Radio Shack, somewhere, specializing in concerts and recordings.) I hope that all this help.
