Studio Acoustic

Studio Acoustic
What is the best configuration for a home recording studio?

I plan to do a recording in the future and I would like some tips on different aspects of recordings done at home. What is the best environment? (Room size, composition of the walls echo / Reverb, etc.) What is the best equipment? (Microphones, recording devices, computer software), I'll be recording voice, guitar acoustic piano and electric instruments. I was using Adobe Audition Works great, but I'm curious, what are the alternatives and what are their advantages and disadvantages.

For the basics of creating a recording studio at home, check out this article: http://www.articlecube.com/Article/How-To-Build-A-Home-Recording-Studio/49379 Once you read this, you will have a good foundation. Audition is a great program and can create professional results to many other programs multi-track recording software out there to achieve. However, I recommend getting a copy Pro Tools recording software that principal for several reasons. First, it is the industry standard for recording. Many cases major label covers Pro Tools. Second, it is easy to use and there is every lot of support from a tutorial to get on the market in a very short time (see: http://cgi.ebay.com/Brainwerks-PRO-TOOLS-7-LE-M-Powered- HD Tutorial Video_W0QQitemZ260085583899QQihZ016QQcategoryZ41786QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem) Thirdly, it is easy for other studios have Pro Tools (and not many studios!). This gives you the ability to record a session at home with your guitar and piano, to save this session to your hard drive to go to another studio with a great drum room and singing (if you choose) and pull the same session, a pro tools and add those elements. Then you can find the meeting house and mix your project. Or you can keep your Pro Tools session with professional mixing engineer to send to get mixed. The sky is the limit. The problem with other programs such as Audition is that studios do not much help (even if it a good program) to be able to audition sessions from studio to studio for the transfer of many simply do not have to audition for the studio installed on their system (not many studios). Another great point is to add that we get Pro Tools for about $ 250, making it very affordable for anyone who wants to set up a studio in the house. http://www.homerecorder.com/products/software/recording/protoolsmpowered.html Hope this helps. Good lucky!

For all his tattoos and bulked-up frat-boy persona, singer Bradley Nowell had real soul, which made his fatal heroin overdose even more tragic. There’s more to this Long Beach, California, trio’s debut, released shortly after Nowell’s death in 1996, than white suburban punks imitating Jamaican ska music. The band comes up with great songs, notably the catchy MTV hit “What I Got”; spooky dub-reggae…
