Speakon Connector
Using power amp Crown CE2000 in bridge mono mode?
In manual book , there is direction :
” Outputs: connect the psaker across the positive(+) output terminals . Do not use the negative(-) terminals when the amp is being operated in bridge mono mode….”.
As I learn , I connect input sysnal to channel 1 , then confuse about output as describe above . If I use banana or biding post , I will use positive channel 1 as positive output , and positive channel 2 as negative output . In case I want to use speakon connector , I use speakon channel 1 only like the picture in manual book . So , in this way , the negative channel 1 is already used in mono mode while manual book says not to use it .
Anyone help ?
Steven – Bridging an amp correctly is very important. You really need to read your manual carefully.
I just looked at your manual online:
Feed the signal to channel one. On speakon channel one output connect pin 1+ to speaker plus and 2+ to speaker minus. Thats it.
Bridging a power amp is a great way to get all the amps power for a sub or whatever but you need to be careful to do it right.
