Rgb Color
How do you make a high quality jpeg in RGB colors look as as saturated on the web as it does on your computer?
i have a jpeg in RGB color and it looks great when i view it in Preview on my mac. If I uploaded it to the web say via photobucket or flickr the colors end up looking less saturated. How can you avoid this.
Macs tend to display images in their full color profile – if the image was taken with a wide color space such as adobeRGB, your Mac will display them like normal. Most browsers and web servers can’t display wide-gamut color spaces, so they tend to look ‘flat’.
To display images properly, convert your images to sRGB profile, or make sure the camera captures in sRGB mode. Try using GIMP or photoshop (edit > convert to profile > ‘destination space’ sRGB IEC61966-2.1)
