How guitar home recording for recording indirect

Indirect recording is what I call "old school" method of actually plugging it into a real guitar amp call and a microphone for recording audio. Very little of this method requires an amplifier, one or two microphones, microphone pre-amplifier and a converter. However, can have a whole bunch of other units, such as EQ, mixers, compressors, etc.

Before getting too technical, let us first talk about with the signal path. The signal path is the path the audio signal by the microphone needs to enter the computer and find out what happens on the road. For example – a simple signal path beginning and ending your microphone by your workstation, the units on the road.

Below is a basic signal chain shows how the signal from your guitar to the computer by units left.

> Guitar Amp> Mic> Mic> Pre-amp EQ> Compressor Converter> Computers

This figure shows that even the guitar amp, the sound of a microphone and preamp to amplify the signal that is sent to pick up, and make it strong enough to actually use. From there, the sound source could send some sort of EQ and a compressor unit for the levels of change. Finally, the signal is sent the reader who needs to get music on your computer. Now, if I lost, fear not!

Let's take a look what to do on these units and how they work.

Microphone – When the recording is to Home guitar, you can select a microphone, which have a huge impact on the overall sound of your recording. A microphone is a device to capture wave in air, water or hard material and translate it into an electrical signal. The most common method is through a thin membrane producing some electrical signal proportional.

to produce most of the microphones in use today as an electromagnetic sound generation (dynamic microphones), change capacity (condenser microphones) or piezoelectric generation signal of mechanical vibrations.

There are many things to consider when it is the sound you get from your microphone is not only in terms of price and quality, but if you really compared microamperes to yours. Although the chances of an important recording for the consistent quality better with a microphone, price and quality do not always coincide.

Mic preamps – the microphone picks up a signal is very weak and needs to be strengthened should be to your recording device with her as before. That is exactly what a mic preamp. It increases the signal to a level suitable for recording is.

You can already have a preamp on your computer, but it is only designed for voice and is unfortunately unsuitable for any serious recording

Compressor - A compressor is a device) reduces (compresses the dynamic sound sources in a soft tip at the highest point to smooth the signal output and can bring your audio material as specified professional recordings.

An instrument that is very calm and very strong in part of a song can be difficult to mix and record. Either the loss of quiet or the overhead high sections of the recording.

Converter - Terms Converter is very simple equipment that takes your analog audio compressor unit EQ, mic preamps, etc., and creates a digital representation, which is sent, and now you can with your computer.

Note that this is one of the units the most important in your signal chain and it's worth a few bucks more for a large to obtain high quality converters.

I hope you an overview of the basics of recording, so you can see what equipment you need and what each kit offers.

Their remake of “Killing Me Softly” was the hit, but that’s only the beginning of the story. A hip-hop trio whose talents reach out into the world of the pop song (Wyclef Jean is a fine guitar player, and Lauryn Hill’s a heck of a singer), the Fugees are also all distinctive, inventive rappers–you find yourself waiting for each of them to take the next verse in turn. Nas’s 1994 debut, Illmatic, is hands down one of the greatest rap LPs of all time. Open to debate is why he ditched his lyrical genius and raw, gully beats to go pop on his next three albums. On his fifth solo LP, Nas returns to his grimy, hardcore roots. On “Ether,” Nas disses Jay-Z mercilessly (a response to Jay-Z’s anti-Nas stabs on “Takeover” from The Blueprint). Nas then proceeds to dis Prodi…
