15-pin male-male VGA cable?
Hello, I bought a 15-pin male-male VGA cable the other day that I can easily online through my LCD TV I do not know how it is, because I tried to just plug and even tried a reboot after Whenever I changed the pixels but my tv says only mode not supported VGA first I thought that was for analog TV (the mine is digital) and S-video I have, but someone said that this was not the case. I also consulted the manual website and Samsung, but no joy for you, know that my TV is a Samsung LE23R7 (under the cover of the manual) and oh my laptop is HP Compaq Presario R4000
I seen this problem and the question in different forms many times and I've never seen the correct answer. So here's the answer. If Please spread it around, because many people seem to have the problem: 15 pin VGA cables often have 14-pin active. Pin 9 is missing. (This pin missing is the middle row of pines, a pen the end.) This lack of pen is a problem for flat screen televisions. Pin 9 is required by most if not all, plasma TVs and LCD supply information back to the graphics card on screen resolution available. Pin 9 carries a signal from 5 volts to the DDC (Display Data Channel). New Computer Displays (LCD or CRT) do not appear on this pen, and without work they need – After the majority of the VGA cable with the inscription "15 pin" in reality only 14 pins, and is never explained or noted in the specifications or packaging the product! The only way to know if a "15-pin" VGA cable makes all 15-pin connector and look after pins. If the median line has only 4 pins, then the critical missing Pin 9 -. The absence signal from pin 9 (5 volts to SDC) means that you can not price your plasma or LCD TV, tell your graphics, thanks to its resolution. Get a cable VGA could be resolved with the 15-pin, and your problem. But you must seek a finding by visual examination of the record. All cables VGA are registered and labeled and sold "15-pin VGA", even if it is only 14 pins. Check it out. (Incidentally, there is a reason leaving the signal cable 5 volts from which it is not necessary. But LCD and plasma televisions, it is necessary.)
