a)How fast is it rotating in rad/sec? Answer in units of rad/s.
b)At what speed does the stylus (needle) move
along the record when it is 5.5 cm from the
center? Answer in units of cm/s.

a)
1 revolution = 360º = 2π radians
1 minute = 60 seconds
To convert revolutions/minute to revolutions/second, divide by 60 seconds/minute
To convert revolutions/second to radians/second, multiply by 2π radians/revolution
b)
Calculate the perimiter value of a circle that has a radius of 5.5cm. This perimeter value represents 1 revolution.
Next, multiply this perimeter value by the revolution/second speed you computed in part a). The resulting product is the speed of the stylus when it is 5.5cm from the center.
