Garage band or Audacity?
Which one is better? And if this helps, more specifically…which one is better to record myself playing a bunch of songs(more specifically piano/harp/voice) to eventually burn off onto an audition CD. I have not bought any outside equipment, I just have my built in macbook microphone and am pretty technologically fail, so which ever one is the easiest and best sound quality. Feel free to suggest other alternatives too(preferably free)! So which is better, garage band or audacity? Thanks!
Ok, so I’ll try to get an external microphone as soon as I can. Now, a final verdict on which program to use? 
No two people agreed down there. =/
Audacity would be easier, but you need a good quality external microphone to plug in the sound input jack.
You need to play the music without voice and then sing without instruments and mix the two. If that’s all you are going to do, then Audacity will work fine and uses a lot less system resources.
