Microphone Extension
Microphone Stands extension question?
Hello, I'm looking to build my studio condenser microphone on the head like Micro here: http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/9782/33080lcopy.jpg course I want that microphone stand for the additional component (highlighted in yellow) where such an assembly buy, but I did not really spend too much of 170 pounds more than just a little curvy arms. Could anyone know the name (Yellow) Extension of the microphone seems to be on the End? And if possible indicate where I can get my hands on it? Thank you, Ricky
Go to your local hardware store and aluminum fittings and threaded bungs and yours. That's what we were doing. It seems that all the mic, I used over the years have plastic fittings and connections and if you drop a vintage Shure 55 on the ground, it is heartbreaking. The hardware will be much cheaper more robust and get satisfaction doing it yourself. I hope this helps.
