Dear mic your guitar amp or plug directly into the console for recording?
I have a portable studio Tascam and when I stuck I just put the additional distortion when GoBS gain parameters are low enough for my amp and there is now an impact on the console itself. I wonder if there is better than your guitar amp, or if the distortion will not matter what microphone, and I only have a blender shit.
