Colored Mike
How can you clean an old carpet?
I created a tapestry embroidered by my mother years ago. Only recently survived Hurricane Ivan, but was drenched in rainwater and left unprotected for several weeks. It is dirty, mold likely, and leaked some of the colors in adjacent areas. The support tissue may also have deteriorated. The local cleaners refuse touching. Suggestions? Mike D.
My wife takes his hand to clean when it is ready to work on them before putting them under glass. Ask them if you have a waiver (release of all that she has signed), they said. If it's not really unfortunate that falls apart.
