Audio Projectmix

Looking at my workstation Pro Tools upgrade. Suggestions?
For the moment I'm running: a Pro Tools M Powered 7.4 on a Quad G5 2.0, the second M-Audio Octane 3 with an M-Audio Project Mix I / O by lightpipe. Symetrix 528E voice processor (preamp) 4 Monitors by KRK V8 I Search microphones'm not invest now in the line, then this would be the next election in terms of hardware upgrades / additions? Software and plug-ins are for later (although I'm already decided to take the Digidesign Music Production Toolkit to increase the amount of songs, sample rate, etc. .. unless someone has another suggestion) If I have new pre-amp or new A / D converter? Or should I see a mixer, ProjectMix as not just a mixer. Yes, I heard that engineers are real good results with what they produce, so I think what I have to ask, what do I get major upgrade, which gives me more room for creativity. Budget is about $ 1200 USD
when I am with your configuration I would get a decent mounting bracket of the compressor before the upgrade pre-amps and DACs. Compression is probably an effect only when the software is nowhere as well as physical. It's something you need on each track.
